Garam Masala

Garam Masala translated literally means 'warm spice mix,' and is an essential blend used throughout North Indian cuisine. Most homes make their own, using a combination of key spices. The spices are gently roasted whole, cooled, and then ground into a fine powder. We think you will find our Garam Masala to be a convenient way to cook delicious Indian food. In most dishes, the spice blend is sprinkled over the food towards the end of cooking, but you can also use it in the beginning with the other spices. Use this blend for everything from sauteed cauliflower to roasted chickpeas. 

Ingredients: Coriander, Cardamon, Black Peppercorn, Cloves, Turmeric, Mace, Cinnamon, Bay Leaves, Cumin, and a trace of Canola Oil. 

We are proud to say that our spices contain NO additives, salt, preservatives, and/or food dyes. 

While this would traditionally be considered a spice blend, we include it in the starter spice kit because it has become so commonly found that it is seen as an essential spice. Please note that we have carefully selected this blend of spices to give you superior flavor.
